New STEM workshops for students

On Thursday, October 26, 2023. students participating in the STEMajmo project started a new set of workshops that are held at the elementary school "Antun i Stjepan Radić" in Gunja. As with all educations, students have organized transportation and a teacher's escort. These are STEM workshops that are extremely dynamic and interesting, and include content related to the subjects: biology, physics, chemistry, technical culture, mathematics and computer science. By the end of all workshops, students will be able to understand how a real-world problem can be solved by engineering, using existing knowledge from STEM subjects they will come to a solution to the problem; connect the appearance of the insect with adaptations to environmental conditions, invent your insect based on the given environment so that its characteristics ensure the best possible survival; to connect the significance of the wetland area and the natural appearance of the river bed in reducing the probability of devastating floods; to design models of effective cleaning of rivers from floating plastic waste with minimal costs; design interesting and useful objects and learn about the chemical reactions that trigger them; Create educational digital materials that will present the contents, conclusions and models from the STEM workshops.
