The "STEMajmo" project was financed through the "Local Development and Poverty Reduction" program

 

The main goal of the program "Local development and poverty reduction" - Eng. "Local Development and Poverty Reduction" (LDPR) is the strengthening of economic and social cohesion in the Republic of Croatia, which is also one of the key goals of the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.

An effective education system is the basis of the economic and social development of a country, so the purpose of the program is to strengthen primary school education in the following areas: STEM, ICT, entrepreneurship, active citizenship.

Local development and poverty reduction

 Projects with an emphasis on improvement will be financed
competence of teachers and other educational workers in the system
primary school education, strengthening support for equal opportunities
elementary school children, acquiring competencies for easier employment in
future, including measures in the following areas:

- natural sciences (chemistry, physics, nature and society, biology
eography, technical culture) and mathematics
- information and communication technology in education - inclusive

– entrepreneurship, skills development and better employment opportunities
- active citizenship
Special attention will be paid to less developed areas in the Republic
Croatia, as well as the inclusion of students from vulnerable groups and gifted children in
projects.
